I've been here with my fiance for close to 3 weeks and I am enjoying every minute with him. Anyone who has been or is in a long distance relationship will understand how it feels to be able to be with your better half in person. Sure skype is a good alternative cos we still could talk and see each other but nothing beats being together :)
On weekdays when Gruffy has to go to class or do research, I enjoy just relaxing or cleaning up a little bit. I also make lunch or cook dinner so when he gets home after a tiring day at UF (mind you, he's working remotely for MCC too so he doesn't really stop till it's like 1 or 2 am) he could just eat and relax a little before starting to work again.
For the past week he's been busy with his robots - he built a couple of robots that would play tag or some sort and exchange signals which I had fun watching running around in the kitchen. He had his media day where he presented the robots and I was there to give him my support and also to check out what the others came up with. I thought my Gruffy rocked the presentation - he's always good with stuff like that :) so now that's done, he has more time to relax.
He also got me hooked on Monk and Psych cos he has those shows downloaded which gives me the luxury to watch episode after episode after episode :) and we both love shows like that where the star of the show is somewhat awkward and lack social skills yet is amazing at one thing. So whenever he needs to work, I keep myself occupied with tv shows and occasionally I'd go over and give him pecks and kisses or he'd take a break and join me for few mins.
What I really enjoy about being with Gruffy is that we could do absolutely everything together and also do absolutely nothing and still enjoy each other's company like no other. And the amazing thing about having that in our relationship is that we keep finding stuff that we both enjoy - with the most recent one being our love for word games.
We talked about giving Amazing Race Asia a try after we're married and all settled (I know, ambitious haha) given my love to go places, extreme activities etc and that Gruffy is my better half who is calmer and more logical when making decision - I think we're the perfect match :P anyway, back to word games - the only games I have on my iPhone are word games and the most recent one I got was Wheel of Fortune. I love that game and I can't believe the same guy and the same girl still host that show (saw it on TV few nights ago). So I got the mobile version of it and we've been playing it together after we got bored of Scrabble - another game we enjoy.
As obvious as its name, Wheel of Fortune is a game based on both luck and intelligence. Once you let either one slipped away, you're doomed. Scrabble needs a lil bit of luck too cos if you get bad tiles then you get lower score but if you have awesome vocab and have good strategies at landing your words/letters on the right place, you'll definitely kick ass. Same way with Scramble.
So the all the games are played a little different but the goal is the same - a higher score than the other contestant(s). While we both sometimes play Scrabble against each other, when we do play against the computer, we work well together to beat the machine. Same goes with the other 2 games, especially Wheel of Fortune. And since there's talk about us could be moving to California, like Amazing Race, we wanna try to get on the show too - well Gruffy could go on it if it's the normal individual one but we also would like to make it on the special ones they sometimes have like family or couple special or something.
So maybe some day we will get the chance to enter the shows but for now, we enjoy just playing the games together in the pursuit of a higher score to beat the computer. And we both are just gonna keep going for higher score in everything that we do :) and we'll definitely make it cos two heads are better than one.

You bet i'm gonna be glued to the telly when it's u and your gruffy competing in the amazing race. And i've got a feeling you'll go far so please please please do apply. I can't wait to tell others that "hey that's my friend in the final leg of that race" with a smug face. Muahahaha.
haha yeah we'll definitely apply and we totally appreciate the support hehe (you either gonna be so proud or embarrassed of me hahaha)
