on your mark, get set, PANIC!

The first thing my parents and I talked about as soon as I got home was to fix a date for my solemnization and wedding reception at home. I'm glad to report that we've settled on a date that we all like and one that compliments my second reception.

It hadn't really dawned on me that it was happening - of course I was excited but I wasn't really paying attention at how soon the date actually is.

But yesterday mom asked me to go get all the wedding dress(es) and also Nathan's outfits materials with her. And on the way she kept repeating the fact that she'd have to get moving fast about preparing and doing things.

Of course, there and then...it hit me. I have only like 5 months left!!!! And I have tons and tons to do!!

Thank goodness my planner has arrived so I've started noting things down and getting things organized. I love love love my planner - it's an early Valentines gift from Gruffy and it's adorable :) I also plan to use it for my reception stateside because there are sections that aren't applicable to Malay wedding. It's a big thick one - bigger than my head so I am very sure I'll have tons of space to plan 3 wedding receptions :)

The few things I need to settle in the next week is 1) to email my 2nd reception planner and confirm the date and get him to re-quote everything since there are some significant changes to how it was planned last year - I better go through the most recent quotation and inform him if there's any more changes and inquire about their associate photographers 2) contact photographer/videographer for 1st reception 3) browse for designs for my solemnization dress as well as my reception dress because mom wants to send them to our tailor when I come home for CNY break 4) come up with a guest list for 2nd reception so we could send our save-the-date(s) 5) discuss with my maid of horror and my bridesmaids about the colour of their dresses :)

Once Gruffy' internet all set up at our new house, we need to go over the budget and discuss about the details more then. And yes, Gruffy is all settled in St Pete and keeps telling me how nice our new house is - we have awesome view of both sunrise and sunset every single day. Not to forget the animals roaming around the area (gators included! haha) but mostly nice pretty birds and ducks swimming in the lake. He'll blog about our new house with photos I'm sure once he's able to.

Everything's slowly falling into it's respective place :) and we hope when Gruffy's over here in March we'll be able to get the documents sorted easily. My dad went to get the checklists for both of us and we only need to make sure we have everything compiled during Gruffy's stay here in March.

now there's only one thing left to do....PANIC!!
