I don't think that it's fair to say that people of different professions have the leisure to change careers just because they don't have something as obvious like "ikrar guru" like teachers do. Anyone of any profession, teachers included have the choice to change career, breaking vow (I actually think it's more of a contract issue above everything else) or not. And quitting or giving up has effects (good and[or]bad) regardless of what it is that we give up.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that a profession doesn't sum up the whole personality of a person.
There's good and bad in everything. A coin has two faces. There's always another side to the story you've heard.
For every good teacher, there's a not so good one. For every trustworthy cop, there's a corrupted one. Same goes for every possible job you can think of. And it's your choice really, which side of the coin you wish to be on. But calling out on people isn't always the best thing to do.
It's tough to not be judgmental but the least that we could do is try. People quit or give up once in a while but it doesn't mean they are less committed or have less credibility than others. And it certainly doesn't give us the right to think we are higher and mightier than those who chose to take that exit out - because some day we might have to take the very same one.
We all have our good days and what are good days without the bad ones? Just try take a breather and keep our tact intact.
It really doesn't hurt. But then again, it's just my two cents worth.
